A Makeathon is a 36-hour competition in which individuals and groups come together to code and construct prototypes for hardware-oriented gadgets and concepts.
It'll be fun, exciting, full of technology, you'll meet great people and learn a lot, we promise.
Anyone can come and participate, whether you know how to code or you don't, whether you have an idea or you don't whether you are part of a group or you aren't - it doesn't matter! Everyone finds their place here.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
BE A PARTICIPANT
You can be an engineer, a programmer, a product guy, a graphic designer, a student or none of the above.
You can have an idea that you've been thinking about for months, or something that popped into your head yesterday, or have no specific direct at all.
You can be part of a group, or a come with a friend, or come alone.
You need to like technology, be prepared to work hard, and be enthusiastic.
Oh, and you need to bring your laptop.
BE A MENTOR
If you have a lot of experience in the high-tech industry, whether in R&D, design, product or management.
Or if you've taken part in building a product from scratch.
Or if you've participated in a looooot of hackathons and\or makeathons.
If you'd like to help teams polish their ideas or point teams towards new technologies, methodologies and relevant resources.
You can join us for the full two days or just for a few hours.
The Makeathon is a 36-hour event, it'll start on Friday morning, Sep. 20 and end on Saturday evening, Sep. 21
The event will take place in the beautiful St. Gabriel Hotel. Most of you will be up all night working. Those of you who would like to reserve a room can do so here.
